From September 11th through the 14th, 2007, the National Park Service, Headwaters Recycling Inc, and the State of Montana will be hosting the “Yellowstone Greening Conference”, which will be held at the Big Sky Resort in beautiful Big Sky, Montana.

Located only minutes from Yellowstone National Park, the conference will provide expert discourse on both the challenges to and a myriad of sustainable solutions being practiced in and around our nation’s first national park.

This unique conference will draw regionally and nationally recognized speakers, attendees and a variety of exhibitors from across the nation as well as the Rocky Mountain Region. A wide spectrum of environmental stewardship practices will be explored, including the latest advances in such topics as recycling, composting, transportation, alternative fuels and energy and various other sustainability initiatives that are emerging. The conference will also feature the latest information on climate change and its effects on this fragile ecosystem. A park tour using bio-diesel buses is planned as part of the conference. Additionally, meals served during the conference will feature organic and locally grown courses.
